Ghosts of Burton Historical Tour

Get ready to walk by lantern light….as your volunteer guide leads you through historical homes of Century Village while you travel along the historic lanes and dark pathways of the old grounds to listen to tales of past lives and some local ghostly lore!

Geauga Paranormal (Oct 20th) and Northeast Ohio Paranormal Society (Oct 27) will be onsite monitoring one of the legendary haunted homes of Century Village and you will receive and in-depth look at any “paranormal” activity that is lurking in the night!

Awaken all your senses as we take a shuttle bus ride to visit a very old and eerie, local graveyard and visit the Civil War lady to learn about the ghastly deaths of local residents.

The tour includes historically accurate stories of the local area along with some “ghost” stories.

As of Friday, October 26th, all time slots are nearly sold out.  We will send you a confirmation with your time choice, or contact you by e-mail to suggest an alternate time to you.

After the tours concluded in 2010 and after the first tour in 2012, the News Herald ran articles about them.   Several tour-goers commented on the article. You can Google the tour and read the comments!

• During the tour, a beverage and light snacks will be served.  Each tour lasts approximately 3 hours. Please wear comfortable shoes...there is about a mile of walking on this tour! 
• We walk rain or shine.  In the event of a cancellation - although rare - it will be announced here and on our Facebook page.
• We welcome children over the age of 10 - however, wee ones may find it boring and tiresome.  This is considered a "family-friendly" tour!
• Please arrive 10-15 minutes early.  If you'd like to shop at the Museum Store in Century Village, please come 30 minutes prior to your tour start time.
• Restrooms available onsite at Century Village.
• Parking:  FREE
• Tickets:  There are NO TICKETS issued for this tour.  After payment is made, an email confirmation will confirm your reserved spots within 48 hours.  Your name will be added to the Registered List and will be checked off upon arrival.You must purchase tickets and register in ADVANCE!
• Cameras are welcome...outside and at the graveyard, but only if you promise to email copies to us @ ghostsofburton@gmail.com!  No cameras/videos allowed inside the Century Village museum buildings.

TERMS & CONDITIONS: Participants under 18 years of age MUST be accompanied by an adult. No alcoholic beverages are permitted on any of our public tours. No exceptions. GOB Tours reserves the right to deny tour entry to anyone who appears visibly intoxicated or is otherwise disruptive. Tours leave promptly at the times listed. To adhere to our schedules and for the courtesy of our guests, tours cannot be delayed for those arriving late.

Due to the sell-out nature of this tour, there are NO REFUNDS. No Shows on tour dates will be charged 100% with no credit being issued. No Shows due to late arrival will be charged 100% with no credit
being issued. Reschedules are at the discretion of GOB Tours. 

Weather: Tours will go on unless weather conditions pose a major threat to participants of the tour. In this extremely rare case, all guests with reservations will be contacted directly and will be given the option of a refund or rescheduling. Any cancellations due to weather are solely the decision of GOB Tours.

GOB Tours assumes no responsibility for delays, cancellations, accidents, breakdowns, bad conditions of roads, sidewalks, trails, rivers, lakes, harbors, and any other conditions beyond our control. GOB Tours cannot be responsible for travel expenses associated with unlikely delays or cancelled tours, including parking fees, hotels or other accomodations, plane, train or other travel tickets, automobile or other travel-related expenses. GOB Tours is not responsible for loss or damage to property. On some tours, the size of the vehicle depends on the number of passengers booked for that particular day. GOB Tours reserves the right to use the vehicle of its choice for any of its tours.
